Qatar Electricity and Water Company on Tuesday said it had made a net profit of QR716 million in the first half of 2014.
The company had posted a net profit QR637 million for the same period last year.
The company’s earning per share (EPS) amounted to QR6.51 as of June 30, 2014 against QR5.79 for the corresponding period in 2013. The revenue growth for the first half of 2014 amounted to 2 percent (QR1.438 million) compared to QR1.405 million for the same period in 2013.
The results were announced after the board of directors held its third meeting on Monday under the chairmanship of Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman HE Dr Mohammed bin Saleh al Sada. (TNN)
