Based on the approved general plan, the company intends to implement new projects to increase the company’s efficiency and production capacity in line with the following principles:

• Expand, develop and modernize existing plants and establish new plants and projects capabilities.
  
• Commitment to periodic maintenance and operational programs to optimize the operation and reducing the rate of loss.
  
• Implementation of new projects in coordination with Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation and the Ministry of Energy and Industry with the participation of international companies.
  
• Strengthen its position in the global markets and achieve the best opportunities for investment in energy projects outside the country through Nebras Power, in which the company owns 100%.

Facility E Location: Ras Abu Fontas Kahramaa has recently announced the Re Tender of Facility E Independent Water & Power Production (IWPP) to meet a requirement for additional power generation and potable water production of 2300 MW of power and 100 MIGD of potable water. The Project is in Pre-Qualification stage. KM is looking potential developers for the project for the foreign participation, along with Strategic National Investors (SNIs) and QEWC will hold 55% stake in the project. The Project location will be Ras Abu Fontas, south of Doha, at the site of the previous RAF A power and water facility plant which has been demolished.
